I hope you've enjoyed this installment of "words" from Zbook.
As we have explored our thoughts and processes toward presenting this ongoing zbook collaboration;
quite often, my inspiration has been to spill forth in metaphor and poetics the experiences of these spreads.
This spread poem has been waiting on a blue post it magneted to my vision board... waiting for this release to a broader audience... and now it waits again, with a little less dust built up on its surface!
As I bid adieu once again toward sweet sleep, I leave you with this verse, which I chose to be the closing words said as a sort of prayer by the parent council at PWS this past year:
Gratitude takes three forms:
A feeling in the heart,
An expression in words,
And a giving in return.

I welcome your verses, of which you so often respond to life with. you have written many in reflection of ZBOOK, thank you for unearthing them. and I love the Arabic proverb you share here from your PWS parent council meeting. I'd love to hear more from your experience as a parent and educator, more from your world of creative guidance in schooling. More of your daily discoveries from your days at the Pasadena Waldorf School, which I feel is truly a beautiful wonderland and vital source and opulent force in our world. I love your stories.

words you wrote on this page, which I'm sure were from your visit to Guadalajara when I was living there in 1999. from your airplane flight, the attendants saying in spanish to Please Remain Seated. and didn't we repeat the phrase in great fun through out your stay? that's probably why when I read it I smile and why I feel compelled to further express about it here. and the other phrase, "paciando en mexico" refers to what we exclaimed as we, with Vinh of course, journeyed through the different corners of Guad, "Paciando!" which is one my my fave words in spanish, meaning to travel locally, to day trip, to journey. I love Paciando with you! ... in the great Paseo that is ZBOOK.
